Advancing Global Technology Partnerships in Arizona

Global Ties Arizona hosted Advancing Global Technology Partnerships, a special reception held in partnership with the Arizona Commerce Authority at the University of Arizona Scottsdale Center. The evening welcomed visiting leaders from Pax Silica signatory countries participating in the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program.

The reception brought together delegates representing 15 countries and organizations, including Australia, Costa Rica, the European Union, Finland, Greece, India, the Netherlands, Panama, the Philippines, the Republic of Korea, Sweden, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the U.S. Mission to the OECD.

Guests heard remarks from Vic Narusis, Executive Vice President of Industry Development at the Arizona Commerce Authority; Tomas Diaz de la Rubia, Senior Vice President for Research and Partnerships at the University of Arizona; Sara Fleury, Executive Director of the University of Arizona Scottsdale Center; and Kristin Allen, President & CEO of Global Ties Arizona.

Throughout the evening, visiting delegates and Arizona leaders exchanged ideas on strengthening global technology supply chains, expanding international collaboration, and building a more secure and innovative shared future. The reception demonstrated the power of person-to-person diplomacy to connect global expertise with Arizona’s growing technology and innovation ecosystem.
