Event Host:

Mahfam Moeeni-Alarcon

Entrepreneur, Community Leader, and Advocate for Cultural Exchange

With over 20 years in the hospitality industry, Mahfam Moeeni-Alarcon is a seasoned entrepreneur and passionate advocate for cultural connection. She owns Mingle + Graze, an award-winning restaurant and catering company, and Spin the Bottle, a boutique wine shop—both located in historic downtown Chandler, Arizona. Inspired by her Iranian heritage and a childhood rooted in hospitality, Mahfam followed her passion from a Business Management degree at Arkansas State University to culinary training at Arizona Culinary Institute. Her career spans five-star resorts, fine dining, and food retail, culminating in the founding of Mingle + Graze in 2017—Arizona’s first grazing table company—and Spin the Bottle in 2022.

Mahfam’s love for people and culture began in Tucson, AZ, where she grew up in a globally diverse community while her father earned a Ph.D. at the University of Arizona. These early experiences shaped her deep appreciation for diversity, which she now champions through her businesses and leadership roles. She serves as President of Chandler Sister Cities, sits on the Chandler Arts Commission, and is a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier and Cherry Bombe.

A proud Chandler resident of 18 years, Mahfam runs her businesses alongside her husband, Cristobal Alarcon. Together, they are raising their two children, Rumi (14) and Iliana (8), both students at BASIS Chandler. Through her work, Mahfam continues to enrich her community by blending food, culture, and meaningful human connection.
