About the Group
This multi-regional delegation brings together international public health professionals, policymakers, and community leaders dedicated to addressing the global fentanyl crisis. During their program in Arizona, participants will explore how federal, state, and local agencies collaborate to stop the flow of fentanyl into the United States, while gaining a deeper understanding of U.S. public health policy at every level. They will examine innovative public-private partnerships that strengthen medical responses, manage rehabilitation programs, and reduce dependence on synthetic opioids. The group will also study how governments and healthcare systems prepare for disease outbreaks and observe hospital measures designed to control infectious diseases and support patients struggling with addiction. Through these exchanges, the delegation aims to share best practices, foster international cooperation, and identify strategies to protect public health worldwide.
