Join the Worldly Women Collective for a special edition of the World on Tap Summer Brewery Tour at one of Arizona’s woman-owned breweries. This relaxed, social gathering is all about celebrating global perspectives, supporting local women entrepreneurs, and strengthening community connections over craft brews.
Whether you’re a longtime member or new to the Collective, come raise a glass with us and meet fellow globally minded women who are making an impact both locally and abroad.
Registration is free. However, any food or drinks consumed must be covered at your own expense. If you’d like to join us on the tour, please purchase a punch card.

About this Event
The World on Tap Summer Brewery Tour is a multi-stop series hosted by the Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce in support of Global Ties Arizona. Designed to celebrate Arizona’s growing international community, each event offers a relaxed, welcoming space to connect over craft brews at some of the best local breweries—culminating in shared experiences that bridge cultures and spark global conversations.
At every stop, you’ll have the opportunity to mingle with a dynamic mix of people: professionals from local and international networks, visiting global leaders, diplomats, and community changemakers. Whether you're a seasoned connector or new to the global scene, this series is a chance to explore Arizona's international spirit—one pint at a time.
Each event benefits Global Ties Arizona, supporting programs that bring the world to our state and empower our community through global engagement.
Opening Remarks
Vice Mayor Doreen Garlid
Doreen Garlid was elected to the Tempe City Council in 2020 and re-elected in March of 2024. On July 1, 2024, at her swearing-in ceremony, her peers elected her Vice Mayor. As a member of the Navajo Nation, she made history as the first Native American elected to the Tempe City Council. Since joining the Council, she has been committed to improving the city’s capacity to meet the needs of residents with special attention on human services, housing, community safety and the quality of life in the city’s neighborhoods. She is a leader in her work to make Tempe a Hometown for All.
As part of her council service, Doreen serves on many local, regional, and national boards and committees including the National League of Cities Board of Directors, the NLC’s Local Indigenous Leaders Constituency Group, the NLC’s Advisory Committee for Local Solutions to Ending Homelessness and Chairs the Maricopa Association of Government’s Community Initiatives Coordinating Committee.
Special Speaker
Rachel Benkowski
Rachel Benkowski, known in the craft beer community as "Beerkowski," is a Certified Cicerone, historian, and beer educator based in Arizona. With a background in Egyptology and archaeology, she blends her academic expertise with a passion for all things beer, teaching a monthly “Beer School” at her home base, Bone Haus Brewing in Fountain Hills. In 2020, she co-founded the Beer Babes Family, an international nonprofit and community that collaborates with breweries to produce Babe Brew, with proceeds funding grants for women in the beer industry. Through her efforts, Rachel champions education, empowerment, and inclusivity, honoring the historical and modern roles of women in brewing.
